A native of Weirton, WV and a current resident of Mt. Lebanon, Salene Mazur Kraemer is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law and West Virginia’s University MBA and undergraduate programs.
She is the founding principal of MAZURKRAEMER BUSINESS LAW, a boutique business law firm, with locations in Weirton, WV and Pittsburgh PA, Salene focuses her practice on restructuring, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law. In addition, she provides general corporate counsel for mid-size to large companies.on issues including tax modifications, financing, and real estate transactions.
Licensed in WV, PA, NY, and NJ, Salene is an experienced Chapter 11 business bankruptcy practitioner having worked on complex, multi-million dollar matters, in bankruptcy courts all over the country. Prior to founding MAZURKRAEMER, Salene earned her “certified turnaround analyst” (“CTA”) designation through the Turnaround Management Association and worked for a Pittsburgh-based investment banking and turnaround management firm, where she focused on business valuation, profit improvement, and navigation of the capital markets for clients.
She was named a Rising Star in the fields of Business Law and Bankruptcy by West Virginia Super Lawyers magazine and has served as a panelist for various conferences including the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Conferences. She is also currently waiting for her final approval to be Certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist through the American Board of Certification. Salene is also an adjunct professor at Penn State University- New Kensington teaching Business Law.
She enjoys communicating with clients and potential clients in a real-time manner by actively maintaining a two blogs and several social media accounts.
